Decorex 2015

At Decorex trade fair in 2015 we displayed our jacquard woven fabrics in partnership with Gainsborough Silk Weavers. At the time we were dyeing the hanks of yarn by hand with a view to developing this process in a dye house commercially.

We showed a collection of 3 fabrics, Ghost, Mineral and Flower. Ghost and Mineral were developed from Emma’s hand marbled artwork combined with a traditional damask from the Gainsborough archive. Flower was chosen from the Gainsborough archive and re-worked i red and blue, to reflect the vibrancy of madder and indigo natural dyes.

Our stand partners were furniture maker George Smith and ceramicist Oriel Harwood.
